Who we are

Fourth Tuesday is a large, diverse, non-profit organization serving lesbians, bi females, transgendered females in Atlanta and surrounding areas. We are committed to providing a safe, caring, and welcoming environment to all participants. Fourth Tuesday offers scholarships, educational programs, social events, and networking opportunities. We have been serving the Atlanta community for over 20 years.

How we began

Fourth Tuesday began in 1982 when two businesswomen made a date for a lunch meeting. They met at work and found common ground as lesbians. They agreed to have lunch on the fourth Tuesday of October with each bringing a friend. The four enjoyed the social networking so much that they set a second date for the following month. Six women met in November.

As the pattern continued, the group quickly grew too large for a luncheon. They began to meet for dinners in a North Highland Avenue restaurant. Individuals began to see positive results from the growing circles of women both socially and in business contacts. The group has expanded over the years to as many as 500 members.
